Korean Fried Chicken, also known as KFC, is a popular dish that originated in South Korea. It’s known for its
crispy and crunchy texture, sweet and spicy flavors, and succulent meat. Here is our recipe for the ultimate
Korean Fried Chicken.


Ingredients:
– 1 whole chicken cut into pieces
– 1 cup of cornstarch
– 1 cup of all-purpose flour
– 1 tablespoon of salt
– 1 tablespoon of black pepper
– 1 tablespoon of paprika
– 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
– 1 tablespoon of onion powder
– 1 tablespoon of cayenne pepper
– 1 egg
– 1 cup of cold water
– oil for frying
– 1/2 cup of Korean chili paste
– 1/4 cup of honey
– 1/4 cup of soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
– 1 tablespoon of sesame oil
– 1 tablespoon of minced garlic
– 1 tablespoon of minced ginger


Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix cornstarch, all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and
cayenne pepper.
2. In a separate bowl, whisk egg and cold water.
3. Dip the chicken pieces in the egg mixture, then coat them in the flour mixture.
4. Heat oil in a deep-fryer or a large pot over medium-high heat to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
5. Fry the chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 15 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
6. In a saucepan, mix Korean chili paste, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and minced
ginger. Cook over medium heat until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
7. Toss the fried chicken in the sauce until coated.
8. Serve hot and enjoy!
